Don’t be a victim of auto theft. Join the network. On average more than 400 vehicles are stolen every day, costing Canadians $1.2 billion annually. The GLOBALi Theft Deterrent and Vehicle Registry & Recovery unites dealers, law enforcement, and you in a shared resource to help prevent auto theft. We are affiliated and in communication with leading auto theft agencies across North America and are members of the International Association of Auto Theft Investigators (IAATI). 5,201,770 Number of Registered VINs $32,000,000+ Total Claims Paid In a profit-fueled industry, thieves know it is cost-prohibitive to attempt to find and remove the branding markings from your vehicle’s body parts. Unique theft ID labels are placed on multiple locations on your vehicle multiple locations on your vehicle and registered to the true VIN of the vehicle through the Vehicle Registry and Recovery Network. In the unlikely event that your vehicle is stolen, law enforcement can trace the unique theft ID number on the vehicle back to you by using a frequency specific ultra-violet light. The theft ID numbers can also be used to identify stolen vehicle parts should they be involved in an organized crime. GLOBAL i ™ Benefits Simple, easy registration of your contact information on the GLOBAL i Vehicle Registry and Recovery Network. Excess Replacement Benefit over and above your insurance coverage.* Excess Deductible Reimbursement Benefit over and above your insurance coverage.* Testimonials It is my pleasure to write this email informing you of an event that occurred on May 12th, 2011. Following the arrest of 3 suspects for luxury vehicle theft (LEXUS) in the LGM-11051-048 case, our investigation led us to a scrap yard in the North Shore area where we met with a person who was involved in the crime. While on site, I noticed a GLOBAL i # 072524912 sticker attached to the window of a grey Toyota Venza door that was sitting on a rack with many other doors. With the help of this number, it was confirmed that this was in fact a stolen vehicle, and a subsequent search allowed us to seize 37 vehicle parts that may have been taken from 37 stolen vehicles. The main person involved in this network is still in custody. Thanks to the fact that my colleague Phillipe Gauvin and I attended your presentation at the Canadian Police College, it was easy for us to recognize the aforementioned sticker. Congratulations on a system that has assisted us in apprehending some unsuspecting thieves! Louis Gosselin, Detective-Sergeant Criminal Investigation Division Specialized Crimes Section V.V.M. Longueuil, Quebec During tail end container inspections at one of Halifax’s Container terminals being conducted by IBC and CBSA searching for stolen vehicles being exported, a container jammed to capacity with auto parts was too dangerous to attempt to enter. However a fender of a Toyota Highlander was pulled from the tightly knit load and it contained a Globali auto theft label. Upon checking that number it was determined to belong to a Reported stolen vehicle. As a result the container was transported to the Border Services Examination Centre and a total of 16 vehicles ( chopped parts recovered, engines/transmission, doors etc.) were recovered. Had it not been for the Globali label, the load may have been allowed to carry on for export to West Africa. Bill Smith Auto Theft Investigator Insurance Bureau of Canada I am a former vehicle examiner for the Peel Regional Police and we were first introduced to the GLOBAL-I anti-theft labels in the late 90’s when conducting an investigation into the exportation of stolen SUV’S. The staff and representatives of RSR Global were quick to assist us in providing crucial information that assisted in the identification of various vehicles. This relationship has carried on for over 18 years and I have had the privilege to witness their product being promoted to various auto theft investigators. As a Subject Matter Expert with the National White Collar Crime Center, we have made auto theft investigators across North America familiar with various investigative techniques and RSR Global is one of the agencies we encourage law enforcement officers to familiarize themselves with. In particular, I am aware that the Miami-Dade auto theft division utilized their services in identifying a stolen pick-up truck from Canada that was located operating in the Miami River area of Florida. International Customs officers have also utilized this system when inquiries have been made with regards to the legitimacy of vehicles located in overseas shipping containers. In our perpetual efforts of combating international auto crimes, I highly recommend any law enforcement agency to register their investigators if they are involved in the importation/exportation or dismantling of stolen motor vehicles. I would also like to applaud GLOBAL-I for offering their assistance with the 2016 International Association of Auto Theft Investigators Conference in Ottawa. Jeff Davis Peel Regional Police (Retired) Davis Vin Consulting Inc. In May of 2013, while in attendance at the North East International Association of Auto Theft Investigators annual training seminar, I had occasion to meet Tonya Paranuik and Crystal Paige. They were the first faces I was able to associate to the corporate product of Globali vehicle markings. Before long I made an inquiry through Ms. Paranuik and she connected me with Colleen Williamson. Since that relationship was formed, my working relationship with Globali has been excellent. Notwithstanding the excellent direct connection the Ottawa Police Service now enjoys with Globali, I have been fortunate enough to see the positive results that Globali markings have with respect to vehicle thefts. In my six years as an auto theft Detective, I have recovered vehicles that have had Globali markings which has expedited the positive identification of the vehicle and the furtherance of several investigations. I have also seen the dealer re-imbursement program be employed in Ottawa when several local dealerships were victimized with multiple vehicle thefts in 2014/2015.Suffice to say that I have been impressed both with the product and the team that stands behind the product, specifically Colleen Williamson. I ought to mention that after having met Brian Vaile, I was equally impressed with his knowledge and his willingness to detail some of the concepts and directions that are forecasted for Globali, moving forward. I look forward to continuing the successful working relationship that your ambassadors have forged with the Ottawa Police Service. Det. Trevor Archibald Organized Auto Theft Ottawa Police Service Sgt Mike Keizerward from York Regional Auto Theft Unit and Detective Trevor Archibald of Ottawa Police and recently nominated as incoming VP of IAATI, both love GLOBALi!” Both formally recognized the GLOBALi and vehicle marking techniques employed by RSR Global as being a theft deterrent as well as valuable tool that can be used to expedite and facilitate vehicle identification and stolen vehicle recovery.Sgt. Keizerward and Det. Trevor both said they will make themselves available to RSR Global for both consultation to future development of tracking technology as well as dealership education initiatives.” Mike Keizerward York Regional Auto Theft Unit The Lake County Sheriff, while inspecting a car lot in Lake County Indiana, came across a 2002...
